Silver is widely used for electrodes and reflectors in LED packages due to its excellent electrical and optical performance. Standard oxygen plasma cleaning cannot be used, as it causes silver to oxidize and turn black. Aqua Plasma utilizes a reduction-based plasma process to thoroughly clean surfaces without oxidizing the silver. As shown in the image, Aqua Plasma treatment reduces the blackened silver oxide layer, successfully restoring the original metallic silver finish.
