Samco Offers Charitable Donation to Ukraine's Humanitarian Crisis Relief Efforts

Our deepest sympathies extend to the individuals in Ukraine and surrounding regions confronting an emergent situation, as well as the Ukrainian citizens compelled to evacuate their homeland and persistently experiencing a sense of unease and tension.

Since our stock listing in 2001, our corporation, driven by a commitment to societal contribution, has consistently allocated a fraction of our profits each term to various organizations, the Japanese Red Cross Society being a primary beneficiary. Given the ongoing uncertainty surrounding the resolution of Russia's incursion into Ukraine, we have contributed 10 million yen to the Japanese Red Cross Society in this term, aiming to bolster their efforts to alleviate the humanitarian crisis in Ukraine and facilitate relief operations in neighboring and other countries providing refuge to Ukrainian evacuees.
Our intention for this donation is to enable medical support initiatives in Ukraine, including but not limited to the procurement of medical supplies and medicines, offering medical services, and covering personnel deployment expenses, with a primary focus on supporting the multitude of children in Ukraine grappling with hardships.

In addition to this, in February of the current year, our corporation made a donation to the "2023 Turkey-Syria Earthquake Relief Fund" via the Japanese Red Cross Society. In May of the previous year, we also extended support to the "Ukraine Crisis Support Fund," which aids Ukrainian students at Kyoto University. As a consequence of these actions, in February of this year, our longstanding societal contribution activities were recognized with the award of the Konjuhosho (Order of the Dark Blue Ribbon), as recommended by the Japanese Red Cross Society.

As we move forward, our corporation will steadfastly encourage corporate social responsibility, working in collaboration with the Japanese Red Cross Society, among other organizations, in our pursuit of a better society. We earnestly hope for an expedited resolution to the conflict and the restoration of tranquility in Ukraine and its neighboring regions.
