Public Relations and Marketing Department T.A. 2008年度入社 Ritsumeikan University

現在の仕事内容WORK

I work in public relations, advertising, and promotion. My responsibilities include writing press releases and preparing newspaper advertisements, but one of the main areas I focus on is exhibitions. For SEMICON Japan, one of the largest semiconductor trade shows in the industry, I help plan Samco’s exhibition booth. This involves coordinating the booth design, promotional materials, and staffing, as well as thinking carefully about which messages will attract attention, who we want to reach, and how best to communicate with them. That is one of the most rewarding aspects of my work. I am also involved in producing Samco Now, our corporate magazine. As part of this work, I interview leading professors and researchers who use Samco’s equipment. I also have the opportunity to visit and write about long-established shops and other historic places in Kyoto, which is another part of the job that I really enjoy.

入社~現在までの仕事内容PREVIOUS WORK

I began my career in the Sales Promotion Department, where I was responsible for creating catalogs and sales promotion materials. In 2012, I transferred to the newly established Public Relations and Investor Relations Department, now known as the Public Relations and Marketing Department, and began working on exhibitions and the company website as well. Since then, the range of communication channels has expanded to include video and social media, but the core of my work has remained the same: finding the most engaging way to communicate what is happening within the company and share its strengths with the outside world. Because Samco is a technology-driven company, there is always a great deal to learn. At the same time, communicating with society requires us to stay informed about developments and trends outside the company. I have always been curious about new ideas and technologies, which allows me to approach my work with a fresh perspective. Going forward, I hope to continue keeping a close eye on changes in the world around us and communicating what makes Samco unique and appealing.

サムコに決めた理由REASON

Ever since I was young, I had always imagined myself working in manufacturing. When I started looking for a job, I focused on mid-sized manufacturers because I wanted the opportunity to be involved in the entire process, from developing an idea to creating the final product. What ultimately drew me to Samco was the chance to work in an international environment. Today, I handle public relations not only for Japan but also for overseas markets, and I regularly have opportunities to travel abroad for work. Looking back, I am very glad that I chose Samco. It has given me the opportunity to build my career in a truly global environment.

仕事の時に心掛けていることTRY TO DO

I try to take initiative and continually look for ways to improve my day-to-day work. When collaborating with other departments, I place great importance on communication and make an effort to understand their perspectives and priorities. By listening carefully to what others need and proposing solutions that are best for the team as a whole, I work to build strong and cooperative relationships. I am always looking for opportunities to grow and remain focused on contributing to the achievement of the team’s goals.

印象に残ったエピソードEPISODE

“Samco’s advanced technologies are helping support cutting-edge research in Japan.” These words were shared by a professor I interviewed for Samco Now, our corporate magazine. During these interviews, I often receive words of appreciation from professors conducting research at the forefront of their fields around the world. I believe the strong relationships Samco has built with these researchers are the result of the dedication and passion of the many employees who came before us. Working at Samco may not always place us in the spotlight, but I am proud to know that, behind the scenes, we are contributing to the advancement of science and industry in Japan.

サムコの雰囲気ATMOSPHERE

There is a very open and approachable atmosphere at Samco, so I feel comfortable asking anyone for advice. My managers and colleagues are always willing to listen and take my questions and opinions seriously. Communication is open across departments, and there are few barriers between teams. There is also a strong culture of working together when challenges arise. Rather than leaving someone to solve a problem alone, people share ideas and look for solutions as a team. I believe this collaborative culture is what enables us to provide greater value to our customers.

これまでのキャリア

I have spent my entire career in public relations. Through my work, I have developed strong communication and coordination skills, particularly when working with a wide range of people and balancing different needs and perspectives. I also wanted to gain a broader, more structured understanding of business beyond my day-to-day responsibilities, so I pursued an MBA. The company covered my tuition, allowing me to study a wide range of management topics over two years. The experience gave me more than just business knowledge. I was also able to build a valuable network of professors and professionals from other companies, which remains one of my strengths today.

オフの過ごし方

I played basketball for about 30 years, starting when I was a student. I enjoy both playing and watching the sport, and I often watch NBA games in my free time. On weekends, I also enjoy visiting parks and other outdoor places around Kyoto with my family. The Kyoto Gyoen National Garden and Kyoto Botanical Gardens are two places I particularly recommend because they offer plenty of nature and open space where you can relax. I am also a big fan of anime and enjoy going to events related to my favorite series. I believe my enthusiasm for and knowledge of anime have even proved useful in my work.
