How did you first hear about Samco?

  • S.Y

What did they think would be a good fit for you?

  • F.Y

He thought Samco's sincere and friendly atmosphere would suit me. My main criteria for job hunting were a Kyoto-based semiconductor-related manufacturer and a publicly listed company, so Samco was also a good match in those respects.

  • F.Y

F.K., you also participated in an internship, right?

  • F.Y

    What was the internship like?

  • F.K

I was surprised that the internship was mainly led by an international employee. What impressed me even more was that when I introduced myself, they wrote my name on the whiteboard in English. I had never experienced anything like that at another company, so it really stayed with me.

You have all only recently started working here, but is there anything you find difficult about your jobs?

  • F.Y

Many companies tend to place humanities graduates in sales roles, but I appreciate that Samco offers opportunities in other departments as well. I graduated from the Faculty of Economics and now work in the Accounting Department, where I can apply what I learned at university. I feel that Samco allows employees to find roles that suit their individual strengths.

What have you found appealing about working at Samco?

  • F.Y

The Purchasing Department is located in a separate building from the head office. What is the atmosphere like there?

  • F.K

The Purchasing Department works with many external contacts, so the phone rings frequently and it is always very busy.

  • F.Y

Do you ever have time to chat with each other?

  • F.K

Definitely! Just the other day, we had a lively conversation about rulers.

  • S.Y

That is a topic unique to the Purchasing Department. The Accounting and Human Resources departments share the same office, but it is usually fairly quiet while everyone is working, isn't it?

  • F.Y

Everyone seems very focused while working, but during breaks, we gather in the break area, eat snacks, and enjoy chatting together. I feel that this clear balance between work and relaxation suits me well.

What are your future goals, or what would you like to work toward?

What message would you like to share with students currently looking for a job?

  • S.Y

With so many companies to choose from, it can be difficult to know which one is right for you. I think it is important to actively participate in internships and company information sessions so that you can experience the workplace atmosphere firsthand. Take your time, stay positive, and keep looking for a company that suits you. We are cheering you on, and we would be delighted if you chose Samco and joined us.

  • F.K

I hope you will keep going until the very end and find a company that you can truly feel confident about choosing.

  • F.Y

Job hunting can be challenging, but choosing a company is an important decision that will shape your future. Stay persistent and keep doing your best until the end. And please come and work with us at Samco!
